| Biography |
My father gave me my first camera when I was about 15. It was a Konica FP-1 SLR with a few good Konica lenses. From that time I have experimented with several different types of equipment and formats. I added digital to my inventory around the time my daughter was born. I am currently shooting with a Konica FT-1 for film and am using the Canon G2 for snap shots. The lens collection that I have acquired over the years has served me well and is one of the main reasons I am still using 20 year old but absolutely reliable equipment. A Canon 5D and about $30,000 worth of lenses would do the trick for me just fine but for now I think I will stick with the FT-1. Currently a proud member and cofounder of the Black & White Photography Community (www.bwpc.org). An international non-profit organization comprised of amateur photographers who are dedicated to preserving the art of black & white photography. The community's website, bwpc.org was created in April of 2004 with a few minimum expectations. We have members with enthusiastic ideas and the organization continues to grow. For now, we are going to focus on maintaining a commercial free website geared toward exhibiting and enjoying member's photography. |
